Using the chattanooga muscle stim for drop foot?

My work place has recently bought for every physio department the chattanooga device. I went to a training day with Cliff Eaton. I am not using any electrotherapy devices in my daily clinical practice. I was trying to give it a go with the new device but I lack the knowledge and experience to use it in an efficient way which is very frustrating. I am almost willing to pack it up and hide it in my closet! I tried for over an hour today to use it on a patient post back surgery with a drop foot. however, I could not get it working. I have tried reading the long pdf manual instructions, watched any available youtube video but it just does not work. isn't there a 'dummie' guide for this machine? an easy protocol which I could follow.
