I would like to invite the forum to help me with information regarding use of laser in Parkinson's disease.

There are companies advertising laser for treatment of brain diseases including Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. The devices are naturally very expensive and cannot be obtained by a common person. Could the forum please suggest some parameters that could be used to purchase a device or a diode and heal and save money at the same time. Many thanks.

Mohammad. Thanks for your post. I am no a laser expert in this field but given that nobody else is making a response, I will add my comments. Yes there are numerous research papers which report the use of laser for Parkinsons, Alzheimers and numerous other brain lesions and clinical problems. This is a seriously complex treatment and most people who are familiar with laser therapy and indeed, those who have reasonable expertise in the field would be reluctant to undertake. Much as I appreciate the cost implications of these treatments, they are not something that it would be wise to undertake unless delivered by a highly specialist and knowledgeable medical team. I am all for home treatment and advocate it at every opportunity - but not in this case (in my opinion anyhow). Tim
